IDEA's Nick Ashton-Hart addressed attendees of the ITU-coordinated WSIS+10 High Level Event in Geneva 10-11 June 2014.
He was the only speaker from the Internet sector during the ministerial speaking segment.

IDEA was also:
- A signatory to a letter delviered to the ITU taking issue with various irregularities in the preparatory process by the ITU Secretariat alongside more than thirty governments and other non-governmental organisations;
- An active participant in in all stages of the "Multistakeholder Preparatory Process" (MPP) for the event, responsible for drafting the outcome documents agreed at the meeting itself, which may be found here.
The event was a part of the leadup to the decennial review of the World Summit for the Information Society ("WSIS").
